STP Update and Finalisation
New STP tools have landed to assist you with all your reporting. Under the new STP Tools page, you can:
View employee's current Financial Year details.
View previous filings and responses.
Send an Update event.
Send a Finalisation event.
Once you have completed all your pay runs for the year, use the STP Tools to review and submit the data.
Reminder: STP Finalisations are due by the 14th of July
Shiftwork for Retail Award
Have an employee who is a Shiftworker under the Retail Award? We have you covered now.
By marking an employee as a Shiftworker, it will apply different rules for them. Stay award compliant with the following new features:
Mark an employee as a Shiftworker.
Any shift that starting at or after 6.00pm on Monday day and before 5.00 am the following day will be classed as shiftwork.
Penalty rates will be applied depending on the day worked:
Monday to Friday: 130% of the base rate, or 155% for casuals.
Saturday: 150% of the base rate, or 175% for casuals.
Sunday: 175% of the base rate, or 200% for casuals.
Public Holidays: 225% of the base rate, or 250% for casuals.
PaySauce will automatically recognise when the shift falls within shiftwork hours and pay the appropriate rates for the entire shift.
Check the award and employment conditions of your employee to see if they are entitled to 5 weeks of annual leave.
Overtime Meal Allowance
Overtime meal allowances can now be associated to a timesheet for employees who are on an award. By adding the "OT meal allowance" detail to a timesheet, the employee will receive the meal allowance at the award rate.
This can be performed by either the employee or the employer creating the timesheet and can be reviewed before being approved.
Review your award to see when and how an employee is eligible for a paid Overtime Meal Allowance.
🛠️ How to Get Started
To finalise your STP report:
Click on STP Tools from the left hand side bar.
Review your employee's information.
Click on Send Finalisation.
Select the employees you are ready to finalise.
Tick the box to confirm the details are correct.
Click on Confirm.
Employees will be marked as finalised and you can review the submission under Filings
How to set up a Shiftworker
Click on Team
Select the employee
Click on Employee Details
If the employee is to receive an additional week of annual leave, update Annual Leave Weeks per Year to 5
Make sure that Time entry model is set to Start and end times or Timeclock
Click on Award Details
Make sure the Award Selection is set to General Retail Industry Award 2020
Tick the Shiftworker box
All calculations will now be handled by the PaySauce rules engine.
Paying out Overtime Meal Allowances
Create or review a timesheet
Add the OT meal allowance or Additional OT meal allowance to the timesheet
Save and approve
The meal allowance will now be added to the pay run automatically.
